An American farm-to-table
dining experience

Your neighborhood gathering place

Rosedale is centered around a U-shaped bar for socializing and making new friends. Enjoy our inviting bar for cocktails and an intimate scale dining room to connect with friends. We also offer guests a private dining room for family celebrations.

Savor the seasons.

At Rosedale, every dish is crafted to bring the rich flavors of farm-to-table dining straight to your plate. With a seasonal menu that highlights the best of local ingredients, you'll find daily specials from the rotisserie, like succulent Organic Chicken served with fresh salads or sides. Small plates such as Potato & Smoked Cheddar Croquettes and Grilled Rhode Island Squid offer bold, innovative tastes, while entrées like the 45 Day Aged Rib Steak and Grilled Fish of the Day promise a satisfying meal. Pair your dish with vibrant sides like Charred Carrots or indulge in artisanal pizzas and pasta, each thoughtfully prepared to create a memorable dining experience. End the night on a sweet note with decadent desserts like Chocolate Cake with coca nib meringue or Apple Pie Ice Cream topped with Zinfandel sauce and cheddar crumbles.

The Rosedale Farmhouse, for which the restaurant is named, was built in 1793 by Revolutionary War Colonel Uriah Forrest. A small stone cottage constructed in 1740 was incorporated into the house, making Rosedale the oldest surviving house in what is now Washington, D.C. The house is set in terraced grounds that are the last remnant of an estate that once encompassed all of what is now Cleveland Park.
